Our Best Work Yet? [construction post]
We were referred to a wonderful family in Medfield through some Hingham school friends. They wanted to make a big change to their kitchen and dining area with an eye on resale value.
The kitchen and dining areas were separated by a wall that made both spaces hard to fully utilize. It looked like this:
Our scope of work included:
-Pre-construction design work including structural engineering and permitting
-Full site protection and dust mitigation
-Remove load bearing wall without leaving a huge header (make it look like there was never a wall).
-Demo a pantry closet and replace with a coffee nook with lots of storage
-Add a custom built island
-Re-finish cabinets including 38 custom made doors
-Replace kitchen tile with hardwood floor. Seamlessly blend with dining floors and living room floors
-New lighting package
-Kickspace heaters under the island, replacing baseboard
-New trim, crown moulding, backsplash
-Countertops, sink, fixtures
-Built-ins
-Smooth ceilings
-Paint
-Cabinet hardware
Here’s how it came out:
